Information we collect
- Your questionnaire answers: who the song is for, their first name, the style you choose, and the memories and messages you write.
- Contact details: your email address and, if you choose to give it, your phone number.
- Order details: the option you bought and order status. Payments are handled by our payment partner, which receives your card details directly; we do not see or store them.
- Usage and advertising data: pages visited, device and browser information, and the ad that brought you to us (for example UTM parameters and click identifiers), collected through cookies and similar technologies.
How we use it
- To write, produce and deliver your song, preview and lyrics.
- To send you emails about your song and order, and to answer support requests.
- To prevent fraud and keep the Service secure.
- To measure and improve our website and advertising.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, under agreements that limit their use of it: website hosting and database providers, providers that help us write and produce songs, our email delivery provider, our payment partner, and advertising and analytics partners (such as Meta and Google) that receive website activity through their pixels and tags. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Cookies and advertising
We use cookies and similar tools from Meta and Google to understand how visitors use the site and to measure our ads. You can limit these through your browser settings, your device's advertising settings, or the ad preference tools offered by Meta and Google.
How long we keep it
Previews and songs that aren't purchased are deleted after about 30 days. For purchased songs, we keep your song, answers and order details so you can keep accessing your song and so we can provide support, unless you ask us to delete them. Some records may be kept longer where the law requires it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or limit certain uses. Residents of California and other US states have rights under their state privacy laws, and residents of the EU and UK have rights under the GDPR. To make a request, email hello@ourlyric.com. We won't discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Your song page is private and only reachable through its unique link; anyone you share that link with can listen to the song.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Songs may be written for children, but orders must be placed by an adult.
International transfers
Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
Changes
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
